The “Cons” of Technology and Social Media

Technology has a lot of advantages. Most of us depend on it and rely everything we do with the use of technological products. We are able to know everything and search for everything we need like wildlife control in Houston. But, for some, too much dependence on technology is bad. Why?

If people will depend everything they do on the products of technology,  it will teach people to be lazy and complacent because machines will always be there to help them finish what they need to do. Going back to the previous generations where people do not really have much to rely on but themselves, they were able to live for several years exerting full effort for whatever they need to do. Aside from not having a choice, they have the capability because they are used to the way of life way back then. Back then, actual learnings or applications are what they had, now, we have a one-click for tips and suggestions, we read it and we will just buy things to help us with a particular task.

Indeed technological advancement provides us all the convenience, but at the same time, gives as the reason to be contented on the limited things we can do.

One more negative impact of technology is the quality time during personal or face to face bonding. During personal meetings with friends and families, we will notice people inside the circle not really talking to each other, after taking pictures together, the next thing that will be done is to post it and talk to each other in the comment section of the posted picture in the social media. Technology somewhat boost the ego of people, which most of the time, do not really contribute to the welfare of many. The genuineness of relationships nowadays are being put into question, because what we see in social media could be the opposite in real life.
